Focus

on future action

As a family business that has been producing for over 150 years, it is a matter of course for us to act in a future-orientated and therefore sustainable manner. Today, this no longer only applies to economic factors, but also to ecological and social aspects.
We want to leave future generations a world in which they can fulfil their needs in the best possible way. To achieve this, we are constantly working to improve our ecological, social and economic sustainability.

Awareness for people and the environment
Ecological sustainability

Only an intact habitat enables us to continue to inhabit the earth. We will only be able to continue manufacturing our products in the way we do today if we protect our ecosystems and all necessary ressources remain available.

We are constantly working on reducing our greenhouse gases and saving energy and materials in production. Our photovoltaic system with 996 solar modules also contributes to this.

We are continuously optimising our packaging by reducing the amount of plastic through innovations. One example of this is the switch to plastic-free packaging, which means that we actually use 74% cardboard packaging.

We minimise waste as much as possible. We return recyclable materials, such as our steel waste, to the cycle.

Working together responsibly
Social sustainability

Thanks to our employees, we can look back on an over 150 years of company history with joy and pride. The health and safety of our WILPU team is a top priority for us, which is why we constantly invest in it.

We cultivate a respectful, appreciative and equal-opportunity culture within the WILPU team. Joint events such as bowling tournaments and the annual WILPU spring festival strengthen our team spirit.

The region ‘Bergisches Land’ has not only been our production site for 150 years, but also the home of our employees. We are stregthening associations and social organisations in this region and support charitable initiatives such as the ‘Notbremse’ charity run by Caritas in Remscheid with donations of money and goods.

Future-proofed economy
Economic sustainability

With the highest quality standards and innovative strength, over 95% of WILPU products are ‘Made in Germany’ and manufactured in our own production facility in Remscheid.

Our product range is constantly being expanded and adapted to the needs of our customers. Continuous investment in machines with new technologies, optimised processes and workflows enable innovative and economical solutions.

Today, we ship our over 2.800 products to more than 50 countries worldwide and are proud of our long-standing and successful business relationships.

When working with our suppliers and service providers, we prioritise regional and ecologically sustainable products of the highest quality.
